Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, hosted his daughter's Atlanta wedding indoors in defiance of local officials' warnings against large gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the fact that local officials had issued an executive order limiting the size of indoor gatherings to 50 people, Meadows hosted a wedding for his daughter, Haley Kocher, with about 70 mask-less guests in attendance.
The wedding was held at the Atlanta History Center on May 30, 2020. A spokesperson for the center confirmed that the event was held in compliance with the executive order, which allowed for gatherings of up to 100 people if certain safety measures were followed.
However, photos and videos from the wedding show that guests were not wearing masks or social distancing.
The White House has not commented on the wedding.
