Andrea Barzagli: Wolfsburg's Former Star Defender

Return to the Bundesliga

Former Italian international Andrea Barzagli has agreed to join German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. The 38-year-old defender will return to the club where he spent three seasons from 2008 to 2011.

Wolfsburg's Defensive Stalwart

Barzagli was a key member of Wolfsburg's defense during his previous stint with the club. He made 94 appearances for the Wolves, helping them win the Bundesliga title in 2009. After leaving Wolfsburg, Barzagli went on to enjoy a successful career with Juventus, winning six Serie A titles and one Champions League trophy.
