Hugh Freeze Named Auburn Football Coach
Auburn has hired Hugh Freeze as its next football coach, a move that comes with upside on the field.
Freeze, whose core values are faith, attitude, mental toughness, integrity, and love, has a proven track record of success at the college level.
Freeze led Ole Miss to a 39-25 record in five seasons, including a Sugar Bowl victory in 2015. He also led Liberty to a 34-15 record in four seasons, including a Cure Bowl victory in 2020.
Freeze said he is excited to be the head coach at Auburn.
"Auburn is one of the preeminent programs in college football," Freeze said. "I am honored to be the head coach of this great university. I am committed to building a championship program on and off the field. We will do it the right way, with integrity and class."
Auburn athletic director Allen Greene said he is confident that Freeze is the right man to lead the Tigers football program.
"Hugh Freeze is a proven winner who has a track record of success at the highest level," Greene said. "He is a man of character and integrity, and he is committed to developing our student-athletes on and off the field. We are excited to have him as our head coach."
