Early Life and Career

Benjamin Netanyahu was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1949. He studied economics and business administration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Business School. After completing his studies, Netanyahu worked as a consultant and investment banker before entering politics.

Political Career

Netanyahu's political career began in 1988 when he was elected to the Knesset, Israel's parliament. He served as a minister in several governments before becoming Prime Minister in 1996. Netanyahu's first term as Prime Minister was marked by economic reforms and a peace process with the Palestinians. He was defeated in the 1999 elections but returned to power in 2009.
