Donald Glover: Not Related to Danny Glover

Despite their similar names and professions, the pair are not father and son.

Donald Glover, formerly of TV's "Community" and the creator and star of FX's new series "Atlanta" premiering September 6, is no relation to actor Danny Glover. Despite their similar names, the pair are not related in any way.

Donald Glover's acting career

Glover made his film acting debut in "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979). He is widely known for his lead role as Roger Murtaugh in the "Lethal Weapon" film series.

Donald Glover's thoughts on the mistaken relationship

Donald Glover has said that he thinks it's funny how many people think he is related to Danny Glover. In an interview, he said, "I don't know why people think we're related. We don't look alike. We don't sound alike. We're not even from the same part of the country."
